By accepting the terms of this agreement, I can register as a potential volunteer of The Idaho 4th of July Parade –Live from Boise 2026 (Sponsored by CapEd Credit Union), and agree that:
This agreement is between me and We The People 4th of July Parade Celebration Committee Inc. [501(c)(3)], dba The Idaho 4th of July Parade –Live from Boise 2026 (hereinafter referred to as “the Parade”).
1. Volunteer Status. I understand that by accepting this agreement I am not guaranteed a position as a volunteer at The Idaho 4th of July Parade. If selected as a volunteer I will be considered a volunteer private contractor. I understand that I will not be paid for my volunteer services, nor be considered an employee of The Idaho 4th of July Parade.
2. Code of Conduct. While a volunteer at The Idaho 4th of July Parade, I will conduct myself in accordance with the expected decorum and good will of the Parade. I will respect all Parade attendees, guests, dignitaries, staff, crew, other volunteers, and the City of Boise. I will not engage in any behavior which would be divisive, oppressive, offensive, disparaging, disrespectful, or otherwise detract from the Parade's commitment to unify the community to celebrate our Nation. I will dress appropriately for the general public and for the weather, and I will wear my volunteer t-shirt while volunteering. I will willingly perform the duties and responsibilities assigned to me by the Volunteer Coordinator and/or as directed by my team leader, and will assist any other Parade staff that request assistance during my agreed-upon time commitment with the Parade, so long as such assistance does not unreasonably interfere with my assigned responsibilities or take me away from my assigned post or designated area of responsibility.
3. Liability. I understand the risk involved with volunteering, including possible bodily injury. I understand the Parade does not provide any Accidental or Medical Insurance. I hereby release, and agree to indemnify, and hold harmless: We The People 4th of July Parade Celebration Committee Inc. [501(c)(3)], dba The Idaho 4th of July Parade –Live from Boise 2025 (Sponsored by CapEd Credit Union); Outdoor Event Group LLC; CapEd Credit Union; Parade Sponsors; Parade Vendors; and The City of Boise, as well as any of their officers, agents, staff, employees, and volunteers from any and all liability, damages, and/or claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of, or in any way related to, my volunteer work at, before, or after The Idaho 4th of July Parade. If the Volunteer is less than 18 years of age, the Volunteer and the parents having legal custody and/or the legal guardians of the Volunteer (the "Guardians") also hereby release and forever discharge the Released Parties from any claim whatsoever which arises.
4. Theft/Loss/Damage of Property. I shall be personally responsible and liable for any theft or loss of money or property, or damage to property entrusted to me by the Parade during my shift, and understand and agree that in the event that property or money entrusted to me during my shift is lost, stolen or damaged, I shall be liable for the value of such loss or damage.
5. Non-Disclosure Agreement. I agree not to disclose, communicate, or otherwise compromise, in any manner, before, during, or after the Parade, proprietary information about the Parade, its operations, clientele, or any other proprietary information, that relate to the business of the Parade including, but not limited to, intellectual property, the Parade’s marketing strategies, operations, or any other information of any kind which would be deemed confidential (such as: Emergency Management Plans, security staff deployment plans or diagrams, information regarding vulnerabilities, risk assessments, credentials, or other confidential planning documents or products), a trade secret, or other form of proprietary information of the Parade. I acknowledge that the above information is material and confidential and that it affects the profitability of the Parade. I understand that any breach of this provision, or that of any other Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, is a material breach of this Agreement. I will not disclose confidential proprietary information without first receiving written authorization from We The People 4th of July Parade Celebration Committee Inc. [501(c)(3)].
6. Dismissal. I understand that my volunteer service is a privilege and not a right and that it is completely discretionary with the management of the Parade. If I fail to conduct myself in accordance with this Volunteer Agreement, either during the Parade or in relation to my status as a volunteer, I may be dismissed from volunteer service, which will result in a Loss of all volunteer Privileges, at the sole discretion of the Parade staff and the Volunteer Coordinator.
7. No-show. If I am unable to fulfill my volunteer commitment, I will notify the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible: volunteers@outdooreventgroup.com.
8. Agency. I understand that I am not an agent or employee of The Idaho 4th of July Parade, nor am I authorized to transact business, enter into agreements, or otherwise make commitments or waive any requirements for attendance or participation at the Parade, on behalf of the Parade unless, expressly authorized in writing by We The People 4th of July Parade Celebration Committee Inc. [501(c)(3)], dba The Idaho 4th of July Parade. I understand this is, and is intended to be, a legally binding agreement between me and the Parade, and by submitting this registration for a potential volunteer position, I agree to be bound by all the above obligations and requirements should I be accepted as a Parade Volunteer.
